The Illinois Medicaid program is undergoing a period of transformation. Managed care is expanding to every county in the state, while hospitals are overhauling their assessment program, a key source of funding. Meanwhile, the state just received approval to spend $2 billion over the next five years to further integrate behavioral and physical health.
