Medline donates $1.2M in hand sanitizing supplies to communities across U.S.

Throughout the end of 2021, Medline donated and shipped about $1.2 million worth of hand sanitizing products to various community and non-profit organizations across the nation in effort to help minimize the spread of infection.

Medline shipped over 25,500 cases of hand sanitizer and soaps from its ReadyCare division, from the West Coast to the East Coast. In its home state of Illinois, the company provided about $309,000 worth of hand sanitizing products to about 26 different communities.

The company also helped distribute donations through its partnership with various schools, fire and police departments, animal shelters, and non-profits helping underserved communities like United Way and Toys for Tots.

“This past year has been extremely challenging and we wanted to do something that helps ease concerns about health and wellness. That’s why we’re proud to donate almost 1.1 million bottles of hand sanitizing products to help keep people safe this winter season,” said Alan Weiss, president of Medline’s ReadyCare division. “It’s part of Medline’s mission to address social determinants of health in our communities, and it’s our responsibility, during one of the most pressing times in healthcare history, to give back and show our support.”

The initiative ran parallel to Medline’s Month of Service in November, in which the company of nearly 30,000 employees can choose to participate in various volunteering and donation events.
