DPH: 1,853 COVID-19 cases, 14 more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,853 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Monday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 303,394.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 14 additional deaths Monday, bringing the total number to 8,805.

A total of 38,538 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 5,924,956.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.4 percent.

Thirty-nine percent of Illinois’ 34,945 hospital beds were available as of Monday morning. Forty-two percent of the state’s 3,791 ICU beds were available as were 77 percent of the state’s 5,746 ventilators.
