DPH: 2,257 COVID-19 cases, 30 more deaths in Illinois
There were 2,257 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Thursday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 281,371.
The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 30 additional deaths Thursday, bringing the total number to 8,538.
A total of 62,071 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 5,293,678.
The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.5 percent.
Thirty-five percent of Illinois’ 34,775 hospital beds were available as of Thursday morning. Thirty-eight percent of the state’s 3,760 ICU beds were available as were 78 percent of the state’s 5,742 ventilators.
