State signs off on UnityPoint Health, Memorial Hospital affiliation
Memorial Hospital in Carthage is set to become an affiliate of UnityPoint Health after receiving the official go-ahead from the state. The official partnership is slated to start July 1.
Memorial Board President Dan Asbury said the hospital had been investigating potential partners for the past two years.
“Becoming an affiliate with UnityPoint Health is the right direction for us,” Ada Bair, CEO of the 18-bed hospital, said in a statement.
The transaction is valued at $17.4 million, according to the state.
