Virtual Newsmaker with Healthcare and Family Services Director Elizabeth Whitehorn

Elizabeth Whitehorn took over as director of the Department of Healthcare and Family Services at the start of 2024. Before then, she served for five years as first assistant deputy governor for Gov. JB Pritzker, helping manage healthcare and human services agencies and initiatives.
Whitehorn will join Health News Illinois for a live, virtual event on March 20 to discuss her goals as head of HFS, as well as what she’ll be looking for in the final weeks of the spring legislative session.
