HNI Event Series: What’s next for telehealth?
October 25, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Earlier this year, Illinois became one of the first states in the country to expand telehealth protections and coverage requirements beyond the COVID-19 public health emergency. Advocates for the measure are optimistic it will help sustain advancements in telehealth, which reached new heights during the pandemic.
While technology broke down barriers in areas like behavioral health, patients have started to return in person to hospitals and clinics for other services. Meanwhile, some parts of the state still struggle with access to broadband and the infrastructure needed to utilize the technology.
A panel of experts will dig into what’s next for telehealth at a Health News Illinois virtual panel, Monday, Oct. 25.
Panelists:
Michelle Conger, CEO, OSF HealthCare OnCall Digital Health
Dr. Lee Francis, CEO, Erie Family Health Centers
Laura Minzer, President, Illinois Life & Health Insurance Council
Dr. Mathew Philip, Senior Vice President Clinical Innovation, Duly Health and Care
