Gov. JB Pritzker and lawmakers have made prescription drug costs a high priority this legislative session, pushing legislation they say will lower prices for consumers.

But what is driving up medication costs? And what changes can those in the drug industry make to alleviate the cost burden on patients? Health News Illinois will convene a panel of experts in Chicago to address the legislative efforts and what steps stakeholders may take regarding drug costs.
