The Chicago Department of Health is out with a first of its kind data brief for the agency detailing the drivers of a more than nine-year life expectancy gap between Black and non-Black residents.

Nearly $85 million is heading to the Illinois, Chicago and Cook County public health departments to help with COVID-19-related health disparities.
