Cook County officers train to administer opioid reversal drug
More than 1,900 police officers from 30 departments in Cook County will soon be prepared to administer Narcan, a nasal spray that counteracts the effects of an opioid overdose. The effort is a collaboration between Loyola Medicine and the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
