Abortion rights advocates and lawmakers have called Illinois an “oasis” for services since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the constitutional right to abortion this summer.

As nearby states ban or severely restrict abortion services, Illinois providers are being met with a surge of patients seeking care. A panel of experts will join Health News Illinois on Dec. 7 to discuss how providers are meeting that increase in demand, and how state and national politics could affect the future of abortion in Illinois.
