Audit criticizes IDPH’s handling of COVID-19 outbreak at LaSalle Veterans’ Home
The Department of Public Health and other state officials failed to “identify and respond” to a 2020 COVID-19 outbreak at the LaSalle Veterans’ Home that led to the death of 36 residents, according to an audit released Thursday.
