DPH: 1,617 COVID-19 cases, 32 more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,617 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Tuesday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 305,011.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 32 additional deaths Tuesday, bringing the total number to 8,836.

A total of 49,513 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 5,974,469.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.4 percent.
