Illinois to reopen state-operated COVID-19 testing sites
Illinois will reopen its state-operated COVID-19 testing sites on Wednesday.
The sites have been closed since Monday due to protests in Chicago and other cities.
Officials also announced an eleventh testing site will open Thursday in Waukegan.
All individuals with symptoms are encouraged to seek testing at the sites. Those without symptoms who may be tested include healthcare workers, first responders and individuals with compromised immune systems and chronic medical conditions.
