Sinnissippi Centers, Inc. Selects Cantata’s Arize EHR Platform to Support CCBHC Requirements

Cantata Health Solutions, a leading provider of technology solutions for behavioral health and human services, announces that Sinnissippi Centers, Inc. in Dixon, Illinois, has selected its Arize platform to replace their outdated EHR, ensuring the organization is best positioned to support the delivery of services in all of the programs that serve their clients. Arize will help Sinnissippi simplify billing processes and enhance reporting as the organization makes changes to meet required Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) criteria.

Sinnissippi is one of 15 providers in Illinois provisionally certified through the state’s CCBHC Medicaid Demonstration Program and has also received two CCBHC expansion grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). It is the primary provider of mental health and substance use services in rural northwest Illinois and provides the only certified recovery homes in Lee County.

Sinnissippi completed an extensive evaluation to identify the right partner and platform to support the organization’s changing needs. It was critical to select an EHR they could tailor to meet their specific requirements, supporting the design of unique workflows and simplifying day-to-day work for their teams. Prior to Arize, Sinnissippi faced significant challenges with their outdated, rigid EHR system that was difficult to use, offered limited functionality, and experienced frequent downtime. Arize offers flexibility, an intuitive user interface, and integrated features that Sinnissippi needs to support their staff and clients.

“Other products we evaluated felt like getting more of what we already had. We see more opportunity and user benefits with Arize because it’s a modern product that’s easy for our staff to use and can adapt as we grow,” said Stacie Kemp, CEO, Sinnissippi Centers, Inc. “Arize also has greater functionality related to billing and compliance than other options and will help us get the information we need to make business decisions.”

Throughout the evaluation process, Cantata stood out for its unique approach to communication, implementation, and establishing personal relationships with every customer to make them successful. “Cantata has shown a clear investment in doing whatever it takes to help us succeed,” said Kemp. “The team is responsive, our conversations are collaborative, and there’s such a willingness to make things work.”

“We hear a lot about the frustrations that behavioral health organizations feel when they’re forced to use systems that make their work harder. Our goal is to give them the technology, tools and most importantly the partnership they need to deliver critical services to their clients,” said Alan Tillinghast, CEO of Cantata Health Solutions. “Arize will not only help Sinnissippi meet the state’s rigorous CCBHC requirements but also allow Sinnissippi to expand access to services across northwest Illinois.”
