Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC), an Illinois leader in advancing community-based alternatives to incarceration for people with substance use and mental health needs, today announced the election of five new members to its Board of Directors, along with the election of its Board Officers for the coming year.
New Board Members:
- Kimberly Brown, MBA, PMP: Senior Program Manager at Microsoft, who is a dedicated business professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and extensive background in healthcare.
- Carleton Nolan : Technology Executive who previously served within the Public & Social Impact Practice Leadership at Slalom Consulting and also served as the City of Chicago’s Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the day to day operations of the City of Chicago’s IT organization.
- Yaw Ofosu, MBA, CHP: Associate Vice President, Quality Operations at Health Care Service Corporation, with more than 30 years of health care experience.
- Curtrice Scott: Director of Development, University Research Centers and Initiatives at Northwestern University, with more than 20 years of experience across multiple professional domains, including fundraising, law, sales, higher education, consulting, small business, and events management.
- Omonigho Ufomata: Director, State Advocacy at the American Academy of Pediatrics, with 15 more than years of experience in various roles, including: a global health nonprofit, the U.S. House of Representatives, state and local government, and the private sector.

- Chair: DeAnna I. Jones
- Vice Chair: Joseph A. Zarlengo
- Treasurer: Juan R. Thomas, J.D.
- Secretary: Tracy Thompson
