The state’s Medicaid managed care rolls grew in August, according to recent data from the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
Enrollment in HealthChoice Illinois was 2,809,689 as of Sept. 1, up about 0.6 percent from the 2,793,124 enrolled on Aug. 1.
All five health plans saw an increase in enrollment.
As of September 1, enrollment totals were:
- Aetna Better Health – 425,707 (0.5 percent increase from August 1)
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois – 703,612 (0.9 percent increase)
- Molina Healthcare – 334,724 (0.4 percent increase)
- CountyCare Health Plan (Cook County only) – 432,562 (0.7 percent increase)
- Meridian Health Plan – 876,332 (0.6 percent increase)
