Rosecrance adds Wisconsin clinic to expand outpatient treatment services

Rosecrance Health Network, a national leader in behavioral health care based in Rockford, IL, has entered an agreement to acquire Connections Counseling, an agency with an impressive 18-year history in the Madison, Wisconsin area. The agreement is effective December 31, 2020.

With no interruption of care, Connections staff will continue to offer evidenced-based treatment for substance use and mental health disorders through outpatient services. Rosecrance and Connections Counseling have a history of successful partnership that spans many years. Connections Counseling will continue to operate under its original name, as it becomes a division of Rosecrance.

Dr. Tom Wright, Rosecrance Chief Medical Officer has worked with Connections leaders and staff for some time, and will serve as the primary Rosecrance liaison for the clinic. “Connections has an excellent reputation for providing compassionate, quality care,” Wright said. “The professional staff that’s already in place will be the foundation for expanding services to meet growing needs in the region.”

Connections Counseling founder and co-director, Shelly Dutch, will continue as founding director of the clinic.

“Over nearly 20 years Connections has helped thousands of people find recovery from substance use disorder and we look forward to becoming part of the Rosecrance family,” said Dutch. “We share a mission of compassionate care for those in the most vulnerable point in their lives.”
