Healthcare advocates call for protecting access to care as Pritzker promises ‘painful’ budget cuts

As Gov. JB Pritzker promises “painful” cuts after voters rejected his proposal to replace the state’s flat income tax with a graduated income tax, healthcare advocates are calling on lawmakers to make sure spending decreases do not prevent Illinoisans from getting care.
