IDPH reports 3,714 new COVID-19 cases, 41 deaths
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported another 3,714 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total to 350,875.
The state’s death toll is at 9,277 after 41 more deaths were reported on Tuesday.
The seven-day statewide positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests is 5.5 percent, a 0.1 percent increase from Monday.
There were 59,077 more tests processed during the past day. A total of 6,883,314 tests have been processed.
As of Monday night, 2,261 Illinoisans were in the hospital with COVID-19. Of the patients in the hospital this week, 489 were in the ICU and 195 patients were on ventilators.
Thirty-seven percent of Illinois’ 35,090 hospital beds were available as of Tuesday morning. Thirty-nine percent of the state’s 3,770 ICU beds were available as were 78 percent of the state’s 5,755 ventilators.
