IDPH reports 3,113 new COVID-19 cases, 22 deaths

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported another 3,113 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total to 347,161.

The state’s death toll is at 9,236 after 22 more deaths were reported on Monday.

The seven-day statewide positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests is 5.4 percent.

There were 48,684 more tests processed during the past day. A total of 6,824,237 tests have been processed.

As of Sunday night, 2,096 Illinoisans were in the hospital with COVID-19. Of the patients in the hospital this week, 485 were in the ICU and 179 patients were on ventilators.

Thirty-seven percent of Illinois’ 35,095 hospital beds were available as of Monday morning. Thirty-nine percent of the state’s 3,769 ICU beds were available as were 78 percent of the state’s 5,758 ventilators.
