IDPH reports 2,862 cases, 49 deaths

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,862 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, and 49 more deaths.

There have been 327,605 cases since the pandemic began and 9,074 deaths.

There were 52,669 new tests processed. The seven-day positivity rate is 4.6 percent.

As of Tuesday night, there were 1,974 patients in Illinois hospitals with COVID-19. Of those, 390 patients were in the ICU and 153 patients were on ventilators.
