DPH: 1,709 COVID-19 cases, 13 more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,709 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Monday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 289,639.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 13 additional deaths Monday, bringing the total number to 8,614.

A total of 41,142 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 5,520,652.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.7 percent.

Thirty-seven percent of Illinois’ 34,998 hospital beds were available as of Monday morning. Thirty-nine percent of the state’s 3,793 ICU beds were available as were 75 percent of the state’s 5,750 ventilators.
