DPH: 1,477 COVID-19 cases, seven more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,477 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Monday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 275,735.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported seven additional deaths Monday, bringing the total number to 8,457.

A total of 38,234 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 5,143,387.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.5 percent.

Forty-one percent of Illinois’ 34,692 hospital beds were available as of Monday morning. Forty-four percent of the state’s 3,756 ICU beds were available as were 79 percent of the state’s 5,728 ventilators.
