DPH: 1,466 COVID-19 cases, 20 more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,466 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Tuesday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 264,210.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 20 additional deaths Tuesday, bringing the total number to 8,332.

A total of 39,031 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 4,810,827.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.6 percent.

Thirty-nine percent of Illinois’ 34,624 hospital beds were available as of Tuesday morning. Forty-two percent of the state’s 3,752 ICU beds were available as were 79 percent of the state’s 5,723 ventilators.
