DPH: 1,373 COVID-19 cases, five more deaths in Illinois

There were 1,373 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Monday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 262,744.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported five additional deaths Monday, bringing the total number to 8,314.

A total of 35,930 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 4,771,796.

The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 3.6 percent.

Forty percent of Illinois’ 34,610 hospital beds were available as of Monday morning. Forty-one percent of the state’s 3,748 ICU beds were available as were 79 percent of the state’s 5,730 ventilators.
