DPH: 1,360 COVID-19 cases, 25 more deaths in Illinois
There were 1,360 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois on Thursday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 240,003.
The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported 25 additional deaths Thursday, bringing the total number to 8,115.
A total of 40,795 tests were processed over the past 24 hours. The total number of completed tests is 4,160,668.
The positivity rate for tests over the past seven days is 4.4 percent, a 0.1 percent decrease from Wednesday.
Thirty-six percent of Illinois’ 34,784 hospital beds were available as of Thursday morning. Thirty-nine percent of the state’s 3,804 ICU beds were available as were 76 percent of the state’s 5,692 ventilators.
