Pritzker orders all schools to close for two weeks
Gov. JB Pritzker ordered Friday that all Illinois schools close for nearly two weeks in an effort to control the new coronavirus pandemic.
The closures will begin Tuesday and continue until March 30. The state announced 14 additional cases of the virus Friday, bringing the total to 46.
“This is the right thing to do to protect the students, and their teachers and school workers and parents,” Pritzker said during a press conference in Chicago.
