Advocate Aurora Health temporarily refrains from sending bills related to coronavirus
Advocate Aurora Health will be temporarily “refraining from sending patient bills” related to the new coronavirus, a spokeswoman for the health system said Thursday.
“Our top priority is to provide the safest, highest quality care for those we serve,” she said in an email. “As we accelerate our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we are committed to ensuring residents of Illinois and Wisconsin seek medically necessary testing and care.”
The health system plans to work with regulatory and industry officials to navigate the situation, the spokeswoman said. The provider is not committing to waiving fees indefinitely.
