Drug manufacturer Mallinckrodt to pay $1.6 billion to settle opioid claims
Ireland-based Mallinckrodt announced Tuesday that it has tentatively agreed to pay $1.6 billion to settle thousands of lawsuits related to what Illinois and other states say is their role in the opioid epidemic.
