Medicaid advisory committee scraps opioid subcommittee

The state’s Medicaid Advisory Committee is scrapping plans for an opioid subcommittee and instead relying on a state task force tackling the epidemic. Meanwhile, a state official on the task force said Friday Illinois may be seeing a leveling off of opioid overdose deaths.
