Trump administration places certificate of need in the crosshairs

President Donald Trump’s administration is calling on states to repeal or, "at a minimum," significantly scale back their certificate of need programs, arguing that the programs do not decrease costs or improve access. Among other things, it takes issue with programs that allow competitors of certificate of need applicants to weigh in on these applications.
