Report: Readmissions higher at for-profit hospitals

Patients at for-profit hospitals are more likely to be readmitted than those receiving care at non-profit or public hospitals. That’s according to a new study from researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago, which looked at general-acute non-profit, public and for-profit hospitals across the country.
