Rauner vetoes physician discipline exemption for Lyme disease treatment

Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed legislation Wednesday aimed at combatting Lyme disease because he doesn’t approve of a disciplinary exemption for physicians who prescribe experimental treatments, including a long-term antibiotic. But he’s asking state agencies to enact other parts of the bill.
