Rauner signs law boosting sexual assault nurses, vetoes extension of certificate of need
Gov. Bruce Rauner signed legislation Friday aimed at increasing the number of providers trained to treat sexual assault victims. The bill requires that, by 2022, sexual assault survivors receive care by a qualified medical provider within 90 minutes of arriving at a hospital.
