Rauner approves path for mental health counseling without parental consent
Children ages 12 and older can request and receive counseling services or psychotherapy on an outpatient basis without the consent of a parent or guardian, under a law signed by Gov. Bruce Rauner Friday. It was one of several bills approved by Rauner late last week.
