Budget bill heads to governor
The House followed up Thursday on the Senate’s bipartisan backing of a $38.6 billion spending plan for fiscal year 2019, approving a budget bill by a wide margin. The proposal, along with a companion bill needed to implement some of the spending, now heads to the governor’s desk, who indicated Thursday he would sign the bills.
