AMA President-elect: Changing how providers manage chronic conditions can save money

Cutting administrative costs and increasing attention on social determinants are key to reforming an “unsustainable” healthcare system, Dr. Barbara McAneny, the incoming president of the American Medical Association, said Wednesday. If the country continues its healthcare spending pace, there won’t be money left for roads, schools or infrastructure, she warned.
