Harris would like to see state budget invest more in population health

Rep. Greg Harris, D-Chicago, would like to see the state spend more on population health and develop better infrastructure for high-need patients. Harris, the chief budget negotiator for House Democrats, said that could be a tall order in the current environment. But, as lawmakers debate a spending plan for next year, he’s hoping they can at least take the necessary steps to make it more likely the next time around.
